You'll want to get your hands on Clé de Peau Beauté's new Holiday collection
If you've taken a look at the new Lipstick collection from Clé de Peau Beauté you'll know that it was heavily inspired by Chinese art. With lipsticks named Chinoiserie, Silk Scroll and Lantern Red, it was easy to see how the brand's creative makeup director Lucia Pieroni was influenced by the 'China Through the Looking Glass' exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. Riffing off the theme of art and chinoiserie that ran through its curated collection of 12 lipsticks, the brand's Nuit de Chine collection features the exquisite artwork of Washington state-based artist Kathe Fraga. She is know for her soft colours and for featuring traditional Chinese motifs including birds, flowers and vines. You'll see this awesome blend of traditional art and a twist of modernity in the packaging for the holiday collection.
The star products is probably the Makeup Coffret. Consisting of an eye colour quad, a blush duo, mascara and a vivid scarlet lipstick — this is both the ultimate curated look for the party season (see the hues modelled on Amanda Seyfried above), a fantastic gift and a covetable collectible all in one.
If you want a gift that's affordable yet quietly luxe, you can do no better than the Nail Lacquer Trio consisting of a true red, a deep grey and gold glitter polish that can be mixed and matched for the most elegant manicure. Other sets include a travel skincare coffret and four chubby eye pencils — in pretty hues like metallic turquoise green and deep violet. Best of all, all the sets and packaging are adorned with Fraga's sensational art making them treasured pieces you'll want to hang on to.
