Clé de Peau Beauté’s holiday collection takes us to Alice's Wonderland

Tea party, anyone?

Oh Alice dear, where have you been all these years?

There are some movie characters we instantly fall in love with and never quite get over, even as adulthood threatens to eliminate every ounce of hope and wonder in us. Alice Liddel (as in Alice in Wonderland) with her cuppa brimming of charm, inner-strength and whole-heartedness has that effect on her audience. In honour of our girl, Clé de Peau Beauté holiday collection introduces a limited edition makeup collection inspired by the film's fantastical theme.

From the dream world, stop-in-your-tracks packaging boasting prints of furry creatures, embossed suits (playing-card soldier reference, anyone?), and a paean to "Who's been painting my roses red". We're nodding fervently as we type. The mix of shimmery pastels from the eyeshadow palette, aptly named Tea Party, mirrors the Mad Hatter's vivid personality. For times when you want to steal the thunder, Clé de Peau Beauté highlighter promises a pearlescent sheen akin to Mirana's (that's The White Queen for you) silver encrusted gown. Alice is also likely champion the collection's bold pink lipstick as she takes on The Red Queen. Oh, and when she battles the Jabberwocky, the fiery breathing dragon, to save Wonderland.

Minor details, really.

Available at all Clé de Peau Beauté stores and counters.
