British beauties at the Bafta Awards 2017

Coming up English roses

On their home turf in London, these ladies showed they had the cool factor with their effortless beauty looks that made everyone else look like they were trying too hard

While in Hollywood, 'the bigger and bolder the better', seemed to be the beauty mantra, at the Bafta's, English actresses played it cool in with relaxed, lightly textured tresses and casual, almost nonchalant makeup looks. Hair had an ever-so-slight wave in it: See Jessica Brown Findlay's grown-out blonde tresses, Sophie Turner's relaxed waves and Daisy Ridley's textured bob. All three wore styles that would look just as comfortable on a night out on the town, as it did on the red carpet.

On the makeup front, it was all about soft tones of pink. Naomie Harris' glossy lips picked up the pink in her gown while muted, petal tones, were seen on the lips of Felicity Jones and Turner to balance out the smokiness of their eye makeup. For Emily Blunt, her hibiscus pink lips were the main highlight on her face, balancing out the girlishness of her braided updo. Another option? Like Findley, Turner and Ridley, chose to go for a full-faced spring awakening, donning pink and rust-toned shadows on your eyes, for an unexpected, yet soft pop of colour.
