Ulysse Nardin’s Diver series welcomes a new addition with the Diver Black Sea
Forged by an illustrious maritime history, Ulysse Nardin is ever reverent of the vast oceans and has crafted a collection of diving watches to great repute. Known as the Diver series, the Swiss watch manufacturer now introduces the latest addition to the famed lineup: The Diver Black Sea.
A timepiece that melds together the best of the maison's watchmaking know-how with the valued elements of their nautical watches, the Diver Black Sea is chronometric precision defined. Distinguished by a vulcanised rubber coat over its stainless steel case, this distinct feature is as much a visual enhancement as it is functional. The vulcanisation extends across the unidirectional turning bezel and the screw crown for added waterproofing up to 200 metres deep, granting an additional comfort and flexibility while giving the watch its resistance against extreme conditions.
Undeniably sleek, this new design embodies masculine sport chic with an open dial highlighted by a stylised wave pattern, further framed by ceramic stones studded along the bezel. Specially cut and set using a proprietary technique, the stones gleam a polished finish that contrast brilliantly against the matte black rubber bezel, coloured in the same shade as the wave motif. With a self-winding calibre UN-26 movement paired with luminescent hands and indexes, the Black Diver Sea runs and reads like a dream.
Set with a small seconds and date dial at the 6 o'clock mark on top of which sits the 42-hour power reserve indicator, this latest member of the Diver family wears the maritime legacy proudly in the form of a '1846' embossed on its watch face — the year the maison was founded. Indubitably doing the Ulysse Nardin name justice, the Black Diver Sea carries the hallmarks of the Swiss watchmaker: An indispensable functionality, timekeeping precision and a stylish athletic form like none other.
The Ulysse Nardin Black Diver Sea is available at The Hour Glass.
