If it's a pop of colour you're looking for, the Tonda 1950 Poppy by Parmigiani Fleurier will do just the trick. This little piece of arm candy is certainly one way to make a bold statement.
With a rare red aventurine gem sitting proudly on the 39mm dial, it gives the design a burst of energy. The bright poppy red is framed in a case surrounded by diamonds. Before it is fitted on as a dial, the stone is sectioned from a block and then worked down into a thin flat disc. Sturdy yet delicate, not many would recognise the details that go into putting the timepiece together.
Accompaniying the eye-catching dial is a rose gold case and bracelet along with a cabochon-cut ruby on the crown. Its 42 hours power reserve, the 'Côtes de Genève' bevelled bridges and the Delta-shaped hands are just some of the highlights that make the timepiece another addition to the Tonda range.
