A mover and shaker that defined the standards of horology, Omega is a key player that has constantly been at the forefront of innovation. From their unceasing quest to pursue only the best, the Globemaster series was birthed; and, as a corollary, the introduction of the World's First Master Chronometre.
This year, the Swiss maison is launching an update to this celebrated timepiece that further elevates the lineage of the Globemaster. An increased diametre from 39mm to 41mm emphasises the renowed 'Pie Pan' dial unique to the master chronograph, and a new veil of lustrous gray asserts a sophisticated refinement. Complemented by polished faceted blue hands that circle along indexes marked out with months of the year in an elegant sketch, Omega also re-introduces a classic cross design that brings to mind their vintage Constellation models. Finished with the Constellation star and the maison's logo, the allure of the navy-themed watch face instantly captures the eye.
Accompanying this prominent dial is the new movement that drives the Annual Calendar feature, the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometre Calibre 8922. Put through eight rigourous tests and certified by METAS — Switzerland's authority in testing for cutting edge measurement accuracy — the watch is a manifest of Omega's horology expertise. Fitted in a stainless steel case with a gleaming fluted bezel made from scratchproof tungsten carbide, the Globemaster Annual Calendar is a timeless innovation that will never lose its edge.
The Globemaster Annual Calendar is available at Omega boutiques.
