See time in a new light with the Klokers KLOK-02 watch
Outside the box
There's a newly minted watchmaker on the block with a creative and inspired approach that gives horology a contemporary update like none other: Meet Klokers, an independent Swiss manufacture with a retrograde watch up its sleeve that puts an entirely original spin on time telling. In a far-flung departure from the traditional watch faces in the market, the KLOK-02 is immediately eye-catching with its slim monoblock-styled case made from a composite metal polymer, displaying the retrograde minutes and seconds in a large arc sweeping across the top half of its 43mm frame.
So crafted to the label's chic and minimalist aesthetic, the unique dial's lower half is a clean slate, sporting only a small window within which a small circular opening shows the jumping hours and the aperture to its right the city according to 24 time zones. Amazingly contained in an unfettered silhouette that takes but one pusher to activate all its complications, a short press of the button located at 4 o'clock changes the city and the time zone, with the intuitive calibre automatically synchronising the hour to the selected city's time zone. Pressing a tad longer on the pusher then displays the date. Lightweight but powerful, the sleek lines of the KLOK-02 encases a Swiss-made Soprod SOP 813 mechatronic movement that features a high-precision quartz core powered by bi-directional micro-motors, and is also waterproofed up to five metres.
And just when you thought unconventional couldn't be taken into a newer directive, Klokers has designed its watches with an element of playful style, allowing it to be swapped with a slew of colour straps in different materials and finishes. Utilising a clever docking system, a push of the button at 8 o'clock lets you slide the timepiece off, providing an incredible ease in switching up the look of the KLOK-02 to match just about anything and everything. Did we also mention it wears for both genders? Talk about an innovation reinvention.
The Klokers KLOK-02 is available at Antė @TANGS Plaza and Antė @Takashimaya.
