One of the best kept secrets of Italy is its wonderfully sculpted gardens. From the Belvedere in the Vatican to the Boboli Gardens in Florence, the wonderfully geometric patterns of the grounds unfurl before the eye and are breathtaking to behold. Taking a leaf from the Italian Renaissance artists, Bulgari has designed an exclusive high jewellery collection appropriately titled Italian Gardens.

The artisans of the Roman maison pay tribute to these bucolic springtime wonderlands in a 100-piece collection that marries sophistication and glamour. Highlights of the collection include the Hidden Treasures earrings, made from four fancy cut emeralds crafted from a 400 carat raw stone. The intense green of the stones evokes the lush richness of well-manicured evergreens and the elegant gold and diamond claw setting recalls the grand swirls of  Renaissance-era gardens.

Sandro Botticelli's masterpiece, The Allegory of Spring, was creatively interpreted in their Spring Encounter necklace. Bursts of flowers cluster in elegant bunches and are brought to life through the addition of sparkling pavé diamonds that catch the light incandescently.Bulgari Spring Encounter necklace

Last but not least, the mysterious qualities of water chains — those cascading rivulets like the one that can still be admired at the Villa Lante — are captured in the undulating curves of the Magical Reflections necklace. Made from white gold and a combination of brilliant and pear cut diamonds, the three-dimensional piece is a work of art in its own right.
