#FirstClassFriday: Harry Winston’s My Precious Time high jewellery masterpiece
For a luxury house that first founded their footing in haute joaillerie, it's no wonder Harry Winston excels at jewellery timepieces almost without peer. In keeping true to their storied roots, the maison has turned out yet another stunning pièce de résistance in the form of an intricately gem-set watch aptly christened, My Precious Time.
Inspired by the Art Deco epoch from which the brand originated, Harry Winston's inimitable flair for geometrical aesthetics and exquisite splendour is magnified a hundred-fold with this unique creation. A showcase of artisanal prowess and immaculate craftsmanship, no less than 368 diamonds adorn this dual-purpose timepiece that magically vacillates between a brooch and a secret watch. A novelty taken from vintage gentlemen fashions, wherein a pocket watch was attached to a suit's lapel via a T-bar chain, My Precious Time is similarly suspended on a white gold chain that will unfasten to reveal its octagonal-shaped secret watch; simply by depressing a button cleverly disguised with a marquise-cut solitaire.
A visual feast of grandeur proportions brimming with flawless diamonds in brilliant, marquise, baguette and cushion cuts embellished along its semi-cylindrical façade, a surreal volume glimmers across every facet of this Harry Winston masterpiece. Wearing time has never been more stylish and incandescently dazzling.
My Precious Time is available at the Harry Winston boutique at Ion Orchard, #02-19.
