A feminine symbol of fine watchmaking makes its entrance in shimmering pale blue the likes of Glashütte Original's Boutique Edition PanoMatic Luna, decadently draped in diamonds and eye-catchingly prominent in its delicate hues. Likened to the heavens with a silvery moon impressed upon a lustrous cerulean mother-of-pearl dial, this blue edition of the PanoMatic joins its sister watches as the collection's most elegant timepiece to date.
Sized with a 39.4mm diametre, the dial is created by the manufactory's in-house dialmaker in Pforzheim, using only organic material carefully harvested from the fragile innermost layer of seashells. The naturally textured pearlised surface ensures that no two PanoMatic Luna will have the same glimmer, making each piece utterly unique. Besides this singular characteristic, the watch also bears the maison's signature off-centre hour and minute display, intersected with a small seconds counter and complemented by a classic oval-shaped Glashütte Original Panorama Date window, as well as the iconic Moon Phase display — all distinguishing traits of the German watchmaker. Perched at 2 o'clock, the polished curves of the moon relief frames a starry sky; a fascinating and artistic element made using diamond milling that demonstrates the creative prowess of the maison.
A glowing brilliance made even more luminous with cut-diamonds studding the bezel and the indexes, the beauty of the PanoMatic Luna is supplemented by the calibre 90-12, a proprietary automatic movement equipped with an Incabloc shock protection capability. Backed by a 42-hour reserve, this calibre powers the various complications with an uninterrupted oscillating frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Finished with alligator leather straps in the same shade of soft blue, the refined grace of the Boutique Edition PanoMatic Luna is indeed a sparkling celestial body captured in true haute horlogerie form.
The Boutique Edition PanoMatic Luna is available at the Glashütte Original boutique.
