#FirstClassFriday: The Fred Force 10 Multibuckle bracelet
The Fred Force awakens
A long time ago — 50 years to be exact — in an haute joaillerie galaxy not so far away, the birth of an icon was forged in the hands of founder Fred Samuel's son, inspired by boating cable and rivets to create what the world knows as the Fred Force 10 buckle. Despite its humble homemade beginnings, this singular design would go on to become a house signature that perpetuated a stylish yet casual code adopted by a massive following.
Cut to half a century and a handful of design evolutions later, the Force 10 is a lauded collection on its own, exemplifying a distinct aesthetic that boasts versatile and interchangeable fine jewellery pieces including bracelets, rings, pendants, earrings and cufflinks. Orbiting a sphere of creativity that lets one express their individuality, Fred now ups the ante with a fresh interpretation that sees the renowned buckle at the centre of a new launch, sporting multiples of its famed silhouette.
Connected by twined gold links taken from the original Force 10 cable, eight buckles in polished yellow gold form a brilliant loop, easily slipped around the wrist to affect the maison's relaxed style. A perfect coalition of movement and light, the Force 10 Multibuckle bracelet dawns a new chapter in the house of Fred that's truly to be reckoned with.
The Force 10 Multibuckle bracelet is available at the Fred boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Level B2M-200.
