Define your fortunes with the new Fred 8°0 anniversary collection
As luck would have it
Symbolic of many things across countries and cultures, '8' is the premier character among numbers. A representation of the infinity sign, the expression of a couple's unity and the digit that reads closely to 'fa' — the Mandarin word for good fortune, renowned in Asian culture —it certainly comes as no surprise then that Fred celebrates their 80th anniversary with the lucky figure.
To mark this milestone occasion, the French maison has launched a unique collection centred upon the prosperous significance of '8', fittingly christened the 8°0 collection. Equal parts lucky amulet and casual fine jewellery, the bracelet with its signature Fred bow buckle takes on a talismanic element within its smoothly curved golden lines, held in place by a leather tie. A good luck charm that emboldens its wearer, the 8°0 bracelet comes paved or semi-paved in white, yellow and pink gold.
Spanning eight decades of creation and modernity that first transpired with founder Fred Samuel's love for the French Riveria, the culmination of 80 years of iconic style is further elevated with a special collaborative project with Chinese artist Liu Bolin, whose vision of luck paints the maison a splendid digital vista. Based on the themes of love, success, vitality and liberty, Fred and Liu impart a portion of Lady Luck's blessings with each piece of the 8°0 collection, expressing an infinite fortune to be worn with you through life's myriad adventures.
The 80th anniversary 8°0 collection is available at the Fred boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, #B2m-200.
