Diamonds have been a girl's best friend since time immemorial, but Chopard has brilliantly redefined their value with Happy Diamonds — a timepiece exuding an uninhibited quality that dazzles beyond its faceted form.
A notion first conceived in the 70s' when Chopard designer Ronald Kurowski took a walk in the Black Forest, and was captured by a waterfall's spray that burst forth a thousand glimmering droplets, the Happy Diamonds was born from the spontaneity of that free flowing nature. Unconstrained by settings and given rein to move, these 'free' diamonds spring forth with a sense of elation; thus, moving diamonds were incorporated into Chopard's designs.
Taking form in necklaces, pendants, rings and earrings, the Happy Diamonds range also includes haute horlogerie. Modelled after the original award-winning Happy Diamonds men's watch, the reinvented timepiece now crafted for the ladies affects a similar cushion shape with a dial ringed by solitaires. Free-wheeling diamonds in various sizes scatter across a mother-of-pearl backdrop in a glistening dance that surrounds the smaller subdial encircled with delicate jewels.
An icon rebirthed 40 years later, the sheer joy of the Happy Diamonds remains unchanged, lighting up in dazzling radiance with its ability to convey smiles and warm hearts.
The Happy Diamonds is available at Chopard boutiques.
