For its latest TV commercial, Longines tapped on two tennis greats, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, to take the starring role. The commercial highlights the brand's commitment to supporting young athletes and features the husband-and-wife team meeting children from around the world. In a dreamlike Parisian setting, made possible through the use of 3D technology, the couple laugh, play and teach the children tennis tricks, passing on their love of the sport to the next generation. It will be aired at the French Open of Roland-Garros, of which the Swiss watchmaker has been the official partner and timekeeper since 2007.
Agassi and Graf have been involved in children's charities before: Graf founded the Children for Tomorrow charity in 1998, in conjunction with the Outpatient Clinic for Refugee Children and their Families, and they proudly opened their new facility in April 2011 at the University Clinic of Hamburg-Eppendorf. Agassi founded the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education in 1994 to focus on transforming public education.
