New-in: Audemars Piguet launches their latest space and the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph
Now in town
When you've got an illustrious maison like Audemars Piguet whose presence reverberates across the continents, you can bet your grandfather's watch that their loyal following will have demanded for a more tangible local presence. Delivering upon this request, the brand has partnered with The Hour Glass to establish a unique shop-in-shop concept that neatly ties in with their refurbished flagship store, echoing the ambience of Le Brassus that immerses customers in Switzerland's Vallée de Joux — the home of Audemars Piguet.
The latest retail outlet in the Swiss watchmaker's impressive catalogue, this new space parks itself snugly within the boundaries of The Hour Glass at Paragon and is a representation of the maison's core aesthetics as well as a symbol of Audemars Piguet's 30 years of collaboration with The Hour Glass. Bringing to the town crowd their well-loved collections and showcases of iconic timepieces, the store launch also sees a limited-edition version of an Audemars Piguet signature being unveiled: The Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph.
Created in dedication to The Hour Glass, this exclusive watch evokes the famous geometrical lines of the Royal Oak Concept series yet boasts a crisp organic vibe using elemental materials such as 18K yellow gold, crystalline diamonds and sturdy leather straps in a deep forest green. Visually bold at a single glance, the gently rounded case is offset by its octagonal bezel overlaid with another eight hexagonal screws along the surface. Fabricated to the maison's exacting standards of technical performance, the tourbillon watch is an innovative piece of precision mechanism, purposing its movement's mainplate as the dial beneath which runs its Manufacture Calibre 2941. Featuring a linear chronograph minute counter tracked by a central sweep-seconds hand, a power reserve gauge and selection indicator, you're looking at 140 years of Audemars Piguet's ceaseless pursuit in revolutionary horlogerie expertise bridled into a modern cutting-edge sophistication.
Available in two variations with one sporting a case studded entirely in glittering solitaires and the other with only its bezel lined in baguette-cut diamonds, the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph is an emblematic haute horlogerie prestige that befits our country's most prominent shopping strip.
The Audemars Piguet shop-in-shop is located at The Hour Glass, Paragon, #01-28A to 29 where the 5-piece limited edition Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph is exclusively available.
