For the love of cinema: IWC Schaffhausen x Singapore International Film Festival
In a great meeting of artistic minds, IWC Schaffhausen lends its support the second time around to the 27th edition of the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) as the official timekeeping partner and sponsor for our nation's most prestigious film affair. With a two-week long agenda that brings to the fore groundbreaking Asian talents and the region's rich diversity, the iconic event attracts not only an international audience but also heavyweights from film critics to an acclaimed jury panel and it goes without saying, dedicated associates like the Swiss luxury watch manufacture with its longstanding passion for the filmmaking industry.
Carrying on a lauded tradition whereby the maison has partnered with other cinematic ventures including the Tribeca Film Festival, and the Dubai and Beijing International Film Festivals, IWC Schaffhausen continues their commitment by proudly presenting the IWC Filmmaker Award at this year's SGIFF to acclaimed Vietnamese-born director Trãn Anh Hùng. An honour that's the first of its kind for the watchmaker when it comes to South East Asia's film trade, this keystone ties into IWC's strong beliefs in the art of storytelling — evocative of the maison's creativity and aesthetics — and will no doubt see to a flourishing longevity upon the stage where the arts and culture meet.
The Singapore Film Festival runs from 23 November to 4 December. Find out more here.
