Chanel has unveiled its new classic Première watch collection with a rock-and-roll twist. One of the brand's most identifiable creations, the new timepieces feature the iconic steel chain strap interwoven with leather ribbons (most commonly used on the Maison's 2.55 bags) in three fresh colours — nude, taupe and light blue.
Created in 1987, the Première was the first watch from the French luxury house. Look closely and you'll notice that the octagonal shape of the watchcase echoes the N°5 perfume bottle stopper and the geometry of Place Vendôme where the Chanel fine jewellery boutique stands. The triple row strap, on the other hand, remains a popular design element in the Première line since its was introduced in 2007.
An arm accessory that is set to be a collector's item, each Première watch is limited to 1,000 pieces per colour worldwide. The high-precision quartz timepiece also features a mother-of-pearl dial and a specially engraved 'Limited Edition' case-back.
