By any metric, The Lo & Behold Group is on a roll. With a constellation of the city's trendiest dining spots—one of which boasts two-Michelin stars—under its belt and a recent addition of a reading room cum tea salon, you would think that founder Wee Teng Wen would be happy to toast to a fine year, but not before rolling out the group's very first boutique digs — The Warehouse Hotel.
The setting? A stretch of 121-year-old godowns along the Singapore river. In keeping with Lo & Behold's keen eye for design, homegrown agency Asylum has transformed the heritage building into light-filled havens couched in clean lines and muted tones. The 37-room property also houses a rooftop infinity pool and Po, the hotel's restaurant and bar helmed by chef-partner Willin Low.
In a press statement issued by the group, Wee said: "Hotels are a natural extension of our strength as a hospitality group — both in concept design and guest experience. The fact that The Warehouse Hotel is located in a 'godown' is particularly unique and creates the opportunity to offer something with depth and soul."
The Warehouse Hotel is set to open in December 2016. 320 Havelock Road. Tel: 6828 1800
