You've bitten into their sinful little burgers at Potato Head Folk in Singapore and partied at Potato Head Beach Club in Bali. Now, the folks behind these hipper-than-thou establishments are giving you somewhere to rest your head during your next getaway to Bali. Set to open in January next year, The Katamama is a veritable milestone for the Jarkata-based PTT Family. It's their first-ever hotel and they're marking their turf on Seminyak, no less.

The Katamama

The 58-room boutique hotel sees Indonesian architect Andra Martin working together with Singapore-based design company Takenouchi Webb to weave Balinese bricks, teak, and handmade tiles from Java into the charming property. The local touches also extend to beach bags, bathrobes, and shawls crafted from Indonesian textiles — all of which are available for your use during your stay.

The Katamama Suite

Each of the 58 rooms will have its own outdoor space, but if you truly want to go all-out luxe, the Presidential Penthouse is where you'll find a rooftop garden backdropped by sweeping views of the ocean.

The Katamama Akademi

Needless to say, a MoVida x Potato Head restaurant will be on site. Feeling thirsty? Head over to the hotel's bar, Akademi, where award-winning mixologist Dre Masso will shake up intriguing cocktails featuring ingredients native to Indonesia.
