Rimowa teams up with Ong Shunmugam to launch an Asian-inspired capsule collection
Girls who run the world
Following Rimowa’s exhibition of its majestic F13 replica at the Mandarin Gallery, the German luggage brand is once again turning the spotlight on Singapore with a collaboration that features our very own homegrown fashion label Ong Shunmugam. The collaboration sees a six-piece suite of Rimowa's classic Flight cabin luggages skinned with unique Ong Shunmugam designs. This fashion-forward collection is also matched with a complementary travel-friendly outfit. Talk about travelling in style.
Each design from the collection tells a story of an Asian travel destination and includes countries such as China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Malaysia, and Mongolia. While five of the designs feature fabrics that have previously featured in iconic looks from Ong Shunmugam collections, the fabric for the India-inspired luggage was specially sourced from India for this collection.
Each luggage's interior fabric also features eye-catching digital illustrations by Singaporean visual artist Rizibë. To maintain the exclusivity of this special collaboration, Rimowa is carrying only three cabin cases per design.
Rimowa x Ong Shunmugam: Women on A Mission capsule collection is available from mid-October at Rimowa stores in Mandarin Gallery, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, and Suntec City. The complementary womenswear will be available at Atelier Ong Shunmugam.
