#TechThursday: Fancy some bling on your fitness tracker?
Whoever said style and fitness had to be antonymous? With the onslaught of athleisure and sports luxe apparel, Swarovski has clearly taken heed of these emerging trends with their latest fitness tracker. Following the hit launch of its Activity Tracking Jewellery in China, Hong Kong, and the US, the jewellery maven is going global with its range of fitness bracelets.
Designed in collaboration with Misfit, the gurus of wearable tech, the line marks Swarovski’s first venture into technology-embedded crystals. The ideal accessory for any gym-cum-style junkie, the Swarovski Activity Crystal monitors activity, sleep, steps taken, distance traveled, and calories burned. What’s more, it’s water resistant, meaning you don’t have to rule out swimming as a workout option.
“With the Swarovski Activity Tracking Jewellery Collection, we bring our jewellery expertise and global reach to a category which has historically been dominated by male consumers," says Senior Vice President APAC Product Marketing, Joan Ng. “Versatile enough to dress up or down, the Activity Crystal gives the modern woman a fitness tracker that looks and feels like a piece of jewellery, so she never feels the need to leave home without wearing it, and at the same time it reminds her to stay active and fit throughout her days and nights."
Effortlessly user-friendly, the device syncs wirelessly to your smartphone, allowing you to log fitness goals and keep track of your progress. Time to knock out those workouts you’ve been dragging your feet on.
The Swarovski Activity Tracking Jewellery retails for $280 onwards. The individual Slake bracelets retail at $150.
