For a mid-range smartphone retailing at $548, the Samsung Galaxy A5 is quite the head-turner. For one, if you run your fingers across the back of the phone, you won't feel any raised elements. Its 16MP rear camera is seamlessly flushed into the case — a design feature even the iPhone 7 has yet to achieve. Add a sleek metal frame and a smooth 3D glass back to the Galaxy A5 and you have yourself one heck of a good-looking phone.
This third iteration of the Samsung Galaxy A series also borrows from several winning features of other Samsung smartphones. It is resistant to water and dust, comes equipped with Samsung Pay, and sports a 16MP front-facing camera for you to capture that perfect selfie. Given the 5.2-inch screen of the A5, the introduction of an on-screen floating shutter is a thoughtful addition for selfie-taking, too.
For those who prefer to opt for a larger screen, you'll find the Galaxy A7 is equipped with similar specifications to its A5 counterpart while sporting a 5.7-inch screen. Both the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 will retail in three colour options — Black Sky, Gold Sand, and Peach Cloud.
