If you can't make it down to Niseko for ski season, you could very well do so in Singapore at Urban Ski, an indoor ski centre that has just opened at Millenia Walk. Yes, it's nothing like the real thing, but the rotating ski slopes will give you an avenue to refine your technique in between ski seasons.
Skiing on what appears to be a giant threadmill means that you can stay on the slope for as long as your body can bear. Beginners can choose to start with a gentle slope while the inclination of the machine can be adjusted to suit more seasoned pros. Fancy yourself to be a bit of a daredevil? You could very well tackle the slopes at up to speeds 60km/h. If you're new to the sport, certified instructors Aaron Lord and Jimmy Holmgren will be on hand to guide you on your journey.
The best part about the experience is that you can do away with bulky winter gear. The air-conditioned facilities allow you to ski without being weighed down by puffy jackets.
