The St. Regis arrives in the Maldives
Could the resort scene in the Indian Ocean get any more luxe?

It's the opening we've all been waiting for. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has inked an agreement with Residency Resorts Malé Private Limited to bring the St. Regis to the Maldives. Set to launch in 2016, the St. Regis Vommuli Resort will be located on the Vommuli Island in the Dhaalu Atoll, a 40-minute seaplane ride from the Republic's capital city of Malé.

St Regis Vommuli Resort

With 77 villas set against 20 acres of stunning landscapes, the resort's design gathers inspiration from the island's lush scenery, one that pairs a sense of barefoot luxury with the trademark hospitality of the St. Regis. Facilities at the resort include an infinity pool, a spa with six private treatment rooms, a fitness centre, as well as a dive and activity centre. The resort will also have four restaurants and a bar on site. All that's left for you to do is relax on the beach with a signature St. Regis Bloody Mary in one hand and a good book in the other.
