In 2005, Lamborghini's then head of design, Luc Donckerwolke, floored the public with his blueprint for a Lamborghini unlike any other. Dubbed the Concept S, Donckerwolke's creation took the idea of an open-top Lamborghini Gallardo to the extreme. The stunner featured two cockpits partitioned by a dividing spine and retractable rearview mirrors that slid back into the body of the car — all in the name of a swifter, smoother ride.
The high cost and vigorous production requirements of the car meant that only one Concept S ever made it to the roads. Come November, the car is expected to go under the hammer at a Sotheby's auction in New York. If you're keen to own this one-off Lamborghini, have your paddle ready and let the bidding wars begin.
