The mobile pop-up coffee bar to look out for
One pod at a time
If you were doing a spot of shopping at ION Orchard last weekend, you might have noticed a few people pedalling on bright turquoise bicycles — an act that magically churns out a piping hot cup of coffee. What seemed to be a curious science experiment turned out to be a part of Nespresso's ongoing efforts to building a more sustainable bean-to-cup cycle. In tandem with the coffee giant's One Pod at a Time recycling campaign, coffee lovers will find mobile coffee bars popping up at One Raffles Place and Raffles City from 4 - 5 July and 25 - 31 July respectively.
In need of an afternoon pick-me-up? Simply hop onto one of the stationary bikes and cycle to power up a Nespresso machine. While you're sipping on your long black, take the time to find out more about Nespresso's commitment to bettering society and the environment. Take for example the transformation of coffee grounds from used Nespresso capsules that find a new lease of life as compost at a local organic vegetable farm. Not convinced? You'll get to see the green harvest from the farm on display at the mobile coffee bar, too.
If you're a Nespresso club member, drop off your used coffee capsules at the mobile coffee bar to receive a wheatgrass growing kit and Quan Fa Organic Farm discount voucher.
