What a difference a year makes.

Last evening, the champagne flowed freely and glasses were raised at the historic National Gallery of Singapore as we toasted to Buro 24/7 Singapore's first anniversary. And who better to celebrate the evening with than everyone who journeyed with us through this spectacular year of firsts. Thankfully, photographers from the Leica family were on hand to document the festivities for us.

Speaking of firsts, the evening also saw our inaugural Buro Digital Awards take flight. The past two months have seen readers casting their votes and a panel of judges huddling to deliberate on the winners across four categories.

The award ceremony saw performances by Vanessa Fernandez as well as Tabitha Nauser and Nathan Hartono, whose acapella duet of Happy Birthday ushered in a birthday cake specially crafted by Little House of Dreams. The good folk from Clé de Peau Beauté helped to spread the love further by gifting hampers to award winners and surprising everyone else with door gifts. A suite of Apple iPads gave guests the chance to learn more about the nominees while browsing their respective social channels. Missed the award ceremony last evening? Here's a look at the victors who emerged top of their game:

THE AFTER-PARTY
After the award ceremony, guests descended a mirrored flight of stairs to clouds of silver balloons, floral arrangements by Floral Atelier, and DJ Mr. Has dropping beats on fleek while tipple and canapés from Gallery & Co. made their rounds. Those staying off alcohol had plenty of Fiji water to keep hydration levels high while ladies sporting updos perfectly crafted by Salon Vim finally had the chance to let their hair down.

BURO 24/7 GLOBAL CONFERENCE

Joining us for the celebrations were publishers and editors from 10 Buro offices the world over, who flew in to partake in the festivities — one that began with a private luncheon set amidst a backdrop of lush greens and white roses set up by the Floral Atelier. Here, founder of Buro 24/7, Miroslava Duma addressed invited guests before they tucked into a three-course Russian-inspired lunch at Artemis Grill, paired with boutique wines from Sarment, no less. Guests also walked away with a little black box containing gifts from Nespresso

It wasn't only all play and no work. Publishers and editors from Buro's international network attended the first-ever Buro 24/7 global conference, held at the Grand Hyatt Singapore, to share ideas, strategies, and plans for the years ahead.
