The great thinkers of our time have often looked to the past to inform the future, and this time around, Arsenal and Puma have done just that with The Gunners' newly unveiled home kit for the 2016/17 season. While the iconic Arsenal home red remains, little touches from the football club's past make their way into the latest design. A gothic-styled letter "A" — borrowed from the club's old crest — serves as the official sign-off on the back neck area.
Nostalgia isn't the only accent that marks the 2016/17 home kit. Puma's iconic T7 form stripe graces each sleeve, while a dropped tail and longer cuffed sleeves help to lend a modern, sporty element to this blazing outfit.
Fitted with Puma's new ACTV Thermo-R technology, the shirts help to keep players at the optimum body temperature as they work the field. The cut is also extra snug, serving as micro-massages to deliver more energy to active muscles. But really, an extra snug fit is just the perfect excuse for Gooners to behold more eye candy on the pitch.
The Home Replica kit (SGD 109) and collection of fan wear will be available at PUMA and Weston retail outlets from 3 June 2016.
