Unlike the Formula One races where speed and agility reigns, Rally Nippon is all about cruising to the finish line in style. Instead of turbo-charged engines, drivers from the world over rely on the old-school motors of their classic car to carry them across the land. Well into its seventh year, Rally Nippon saw 70 classic cars partaking in a leisurely drive across Kyoto to Shikoku and back.

Are we surprised that Alfred Dunhill has sponsored the rally right from the get-go? After all, the luxe British brand for the discerning gent has long established a rich motoring heritage, one that champions the ethos of understated luxury and an unwavering attention to craftsmanship.
