It seems like everything old can be made new again. That was certainly the case when BMW released its latest concept car, the BMW 3.0 CSL, at the 2015 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The car is essentially an update from the classic BMW Coupé from the 1970s, but of course more stylish and powerful in the performance department.
Sporting one of the broadest and lowest front ends of any vehicle in the BMW Group, the 3.0 CSL's design embodies both power and athleticism in one chic body. The signature BMW kidney grille fronts the vehicle while finely sculpted and elongated sides balance out the car's overall aesthetic.
Lightweight barely even covers it — the car is around 200 kg lighter than its BMW 3.0 CS counterpart. It's similarly pared down on the inside too, with suave, minimalist interiors amped up with sporty touches. Black is back, with interiors cloaked in mostly dark tones and a wooden panel reminiscent of the car's earlier version. Sleek and striking, this is one car we want to see hitting the roads.
