As polling day draws near, election fever is well and truly upon us. But we think Saturday is a good time to switch things up a little and attend a rally of a different sort — one that provides some spiritual reprieve. Soulscape is back for its second year running and the yoga festival will be held this Saturday at Tanjong Beach, Sentosa. More than a thousand of you attended the festival last year, and the organisers have decided to transform the half-day affair into a full-day festival filled with good vibes.
Expect to find over 20 workshops and classes led by yoga instructors from Singapore and the region. Even internationally acclaimed yoga instructor Cristi Christensen will lay her mat down for a 60-minute sunset yoga session against the backdrop of a live set helmed by local DJ and yogini Amanda Ling. If you're all yoga-ed out, head to the Zen Zone, plug into an ipod looping meditative music, and rest your head on comfy bean bags.
Come evening, the yoga mats will roll up and free the stage for SoulVibes, a music festival channeling a glorious array of world music spun by DJs and musicians from Singapore, Bali and the Netherlands. Feel free to dance in your yoga gear — no one's going to judge you for that.
