A Victoria's Secret angel on staying in shape and post-workout guilty pleasures
Brazilian beauty Lais Ribeiro might be a mother of one, but her svelte figure bears nary a trace of motherhood. The model who was discovered in her hometown back in Brazil has since made her mark in São Paulo and New York, and continues to turn heads as she joins fellow Brazilian Victoria's Secret angels such as Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio on the runway. Below, her secrets to staying in wing-worthy shape.
Tell us about your training regime in the lead up to a Victoria's Secret fashion show.
As a VS girl, I try to maintain my body the whole year because it's much easier when we get closer to the show. It's more intense leading up to the show. I started to go more often to the gym and my diet is pretty easy — it's pretty much the same thing the whole year. I try not to repeat the same workout routine because I get bored, so I mix things up with boxing, pilates, and a mix of everything else in between.
What's your favourite part about participating in a Victoria's Secret fashion show?
Wearing new wings is my favourite part! I think it's pretty easy to say that.
What gear do you enjoy exercising in?
Knockout tights from Victoria's Secret. They come in a lot of different colours .
What's on your playlist when you're working up a sweat?
I like to listen to hip hop. It gets me energised.
What's your favourite post-workout treat?
Are there any Brazilian fitness or wellness secrets you could share with us?
It's a secret, haha! You can't give up!
