CUT by Wolfgang Puck is arguably one of the top steakhouses in the city. We're also big fans of the bar there. The cocktails are inventive, immaculately balanced, and backed with a sophisticated menu of bar bites. Now, Puck has given gourmands good reason to cheer — his second restaurant at Marina Bay Sands has finally opened its doors.
It's one of the most highly anticipated restaurant openings of the year, and unlike most of the celebrity chef restaurants that share ground or basement level space, Spago by Wolfgang Puck has claimed a 57th-storey perch at Marina Bay Sands' Sands SkyPark. Boasting interiors by New York-based designer Tony Chi, the restaurant features a main dining area that seats 90 diners while a generous lounge terrace accommodates more than 200 guests. It's a fine dining affair at the former while the latter entices with an al fresco bar framed by killer views of the city skyline.
If you've dined at Puck's celebrated Spago restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, you might already be familiar with his brand of Californian cuisine. The menu at his Singapore outpost will be grounded on the same, inventive approach to Californian cuisine — but this time accented with culinary influences from the world over. Executive Chef Joshua Brown, who was part of the opening team of at the Singapore outpost of CUT, has been appointed the executive chef of Spago.
