Beppe De Vito is one busy man. The restaurateur behind popular dining spots il Lido, Latteria Mozzarella Bar, &Sons, and Southbridge has added a fifth restaurant and bar — Osteria Art — to his not-so-little restaurant empire. Unsurprisingly, the 80-seater restaurant and adjoining 60-seater bar on Market Street turns to Italian fare as its point of reference.
While the restaurant's red leather seats and handmade brass sconces evoke the air of a gentleman's club, the food on the menu takes a more bucolic turn. Expect to find such Italian classics as bollito misto soup, veal ossobuco, and pappardelle with pork cheek. In comparison, the bar bites are slightly more flamboyant, featuring the likes of truffle and burrata panini, and crab and smoked scarmoza sliders.
Tipple-wise, a stunning French and Italian leaning wine list hits the 500-label mark — and doesn't stop there. A selection of Italian grappas, vermouths, and spirits will keep you well watered. Cocktails here are named after classic Ferrari models, featuring 'Challenge', which blends prosecco and moscato with peach and elderflower; and 'La Ferrari', a potent punch of gin, red vermouth, and campari.
