Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition, Chapter 5: The Lounge
Now that you've spun through all the rooms at the exhibition, settle down for some refreshments at the LV Lounge — possibly the best-kept secret of the exhibition. Make a pit stop for tasty grub and champagne, but don't forget to grab your complimentary LV stickers from the sticker wall.
Given the French fashion house's insistence on quality, they've teamed up with the chefs at Saint Pierre — a tour de force in the culinary field — to conjure a menu that pulls together more than macarons and eclairs.
Here, craftsmanship of a different sort comes to the fore. Instead of cream or butter-heavy dishes favoured by the traditional French kitchen, the chefs helming the LV Lounge have chosen to go with healthful creations that are light and fresh. Not sure where to start? We've rounded up three dishes to try.
Tasting notes: The classic pairing of creamy Mozzarella and sweet bursts of cherry tomatoes is played off against bright notes of pesto and bitter arugula.
Pair with: A cool cup of coconut water from Gorilla Press.
Tasting notes: Featuring a vegetarian-friendly mix of baby spinach, roasted peppers, tomatoes, and eggs, this wrap pulls together a delicious meal worth waking up for.
Pair with: Mixed green juice.
Tasting notes: Get your protein fix with Sakura chicken cooked till tender. Green lentils help to fill you up while celery and walnuts provide requisite crunch for this sin-free dish.
Pair with: A well-chilled glass of Veuve Clicquot rosé.
Organic Japanese fruit salad
Tasting notes: In keeping with the seasons, pick on fresh, ripe cuts of melons, strawberries, and blackberries from Japan. Sweet endings don't have to involve a giant dose of refined sugar.
Pair with: A hot cup of lemongrass tea.
Tasting notes: If you're hankering for something a little more sinful, this rich cheesecake — finished with a layer of crushed nuts — hits all the right spots.
Pair with: Cappuccino, extra foam, with a dusting of cocoa on the top.
