#SaturdaySessions: What your favourite childhood snack says about you
Not an #SG50 story
You love surprises and like to explore cities without being shackled to an itinerary. You wear your heart on your sleeve and find it hard to hold your cards close to your chest (remember the time things got ugly when your friend's Ding Dang box spat out a cooler toy than yours?). You're not the most loyal soul and probably moved on to Kinder Surprise when you had more pocket money. Possibly a cat lady in diguise, too.
A romantic at heart, you live your life like a conceptual work of art and have the entire collection of films from Wong Kar-Wai and Hou Hsiao Hsien. You secretly despise those who own a Kindle. You're also the first to sign an online petition each time the government threatens to bulldoze a historic mournument.
Hiro Choco Cake
You don't need Valrhona, Chanel or Vertu to complete your life. Simple pleasures float your boat and others are drawn to you for your non-judgemental vibes. You might treat yourself to a class on floral arrangement, but only because you want to craft personalised gifts for your friends. Animals come straight to you for neck rubs the same way forest creatures gravitate to Snow White when she goes for her morning walk. You always buy tissue from the tissue auntie.
Iced gem biscuits
The party starts when you arrive. You're a natural-born leader and know how to lead and inspire those around you. You used to dish these colourful treats out during recess as a means of ranking your favourites. Friends in your inner circle (especially those who procured those hard-to-find country erasers for you) received the biscuits topped with pink icing while frenemies and lesser-beings were marked with white tops.
Bee Bee Snack
You wore your Bata shoes with pride even before sneakers became the kick of the moment. Always ahead of the curve, you recognised the potential of this underrated wheat flour snack even if it had zero nutritional value. You're always gunning for the underdog and have over the years developed a keen intuition for the next big thing. Your Instagram account has a following that's bigger than a small nation (but probably not as many as these cats do) and stacked with followers who aspire to be like you.
