The bi-yearly menswear trade fair Pitti Uomo has made a name for itself in recent years for the impressive street peacockery that comes along with it. Held in Florence, a city that is far from meek on the fashion front, its attendees make for a goldmine of menswear inspiration. Typical ensembles revolve around brightly coloured suit seperates and accessories worn with panache, and sometimes, reckless abandon.
When it comes to footwear, veteran fair attendees have a penchant for suede loafers or leather monk straps, but a strong showing of sneakers has surfaced at this year's 88th edition of the fair; with many giving up Italian classics for canvas and white-washed leather. And as always, the panama and fedora were ubiquitous finishing touches on many outfits.
Here, we bring you the best street style from day one of the four-day trade fair. Stay tuned to Buro Singapore for more savvy menswear in the days to come.
