As brand ambassador and women's creative director of Puma, it's no-brainer that Rihanna would one day release a collection of shoes with the label. Fans have wished, waited and watched, and now their collective desire is coming true. The much anticipated Puma by Rihanna collection is set to hit our shores by the end of the month.
The superstar gave the classic Puma Suede a badgalriri spin by spicing it up with a touch of punk, transforming the all-time favourite model into the Puma Creeper. Inspired by London's revolutionary punk scene in the late '80s, Rihanna took into consideration both the brand's sporting heritage, and the music and fashion culture of that period. And as the name of the style indicates, the classic style now has a platform sole in its Creeper incarnation.
As the Suede is a personal favourite style of the singer, she is completely hyped, "Partnering with Puma has given me the opportunity to create pieces that are unique and unexpected. I really wanted to dig into their archive and give classic silhouettes my own spin. The Puma Creeper is just that." We recommend you tighten your laces and gear up for the drop, as we foresee it selling out once it launches.
The Puma Creepers will be available exclusively at Leftfoot from 25 September.
