Polo Ralph Lauren launches new Wimbledon collection
Splendour on the grass
Just like strawberries and cream, regular rain showers and the Queen celebrating two birthdays, Polo Ralph Lauren's uniforms for the annual Wimbledon tennis championships is an acknowledged British tradition. Returning as the year's Official Outfitter of The Championships, the US stalwart is entering its 11th consecutive year of partnership with Wimbledon. The American label takes part on the championship's 130th anniversary by presenting an updated uniform collection.
The new fashion line-up combines the heritage of the brand and its long association with the grace and strength of tennis. Featuring modern athleisure looks, stretchable materials with an increased breathability are sported through performance piques woven into knit shirts — paired with navy skorts for the girls and classic navy tennis shorts for the boys.
Pinstripes synonymous with Savile Row inject a heightened sense of formality to umpire jackets with wide-leg trousers and a bias-cut skirt to pair with. The men's sport coat has identical pinstripes completed with a notch collar and patch pockets. All uniforms feature flashes of the traditional Wimbledon colours of green and purple, another new addition. If you're an avid Wimbledon aficionado, why not fly your flag of devotion or collect a memento with a piece from this collection?
The Polo Ralph Lauren Wimbledon collection is available at select Ralph Lauren stores, wholesale partners and here.
