Titled The Ball, Repetto's FW15 collection draws inspiration from two interwoven sources: Romance à la Romeo and Juliet, and the ballet adaptation of the Shakespearean classic by Sergei Prokofiev. Through the collection, Repetto tells the age-old tale of lovers meeting and falling in love, painting the story through colours that have become classic to the brand over the years.
Red, pink and yellow chronicle the passion and hope that comes with young, blossoming love, and inky tones — midnight blue and black — hint at the inevitable obstacles that plague all relationships. Inspiration aside, fans should know by now that the French brand releases a steady stream of stylish ballet flats and loafers in different colourways each season. However, Repetto takes an adventourous (and much welcomed) leap for Fall, incorporating embellishments and animal prints into its palette.
The brand has also recently launched their VIP membership programme just in time for the new season. Customers that accumulate receipts worth $1,200 from now till October are eligible for the programme and will be entitled to the benefits demarcated by Repetto. These benefits include a 10% discount on regular priced merchandise and priority preview for end-of-season sales amongst others — music to the ears of those who swear by Repetto's comfortable and chic footwear.
