An aspiring actress and sister to jewellery designer Louise Damas, Jeanne Damas is the epitome of Parisian cool with her rumpled blunt-cut bangs, wine-stained lips, and that boyish — yet graceful — insousciance that's a French signature. For fall, Roger Vivier enlists Damas in an ad campaign shot by Kate Bellm, who captured her traipsing around the city's best-known landmarks, including the Eiffel tower and the River Seine, with the brand's accessories of the season.
Previous faces of the luxury shoe brand includes Buro's very own founder, Miroslava Duma, who fronted the spring campaign last year in a whimsical spread with a feminine, carefree vibe that encapsulates the ladylike grace associated with Roger Vivier.
In contrast, Damas' magnetism has a kittenish quality to it, as Bruno Frisoni, Creative Director of Roger Vivier, describes, "To me, she is the 'pretty girl next door'. When Jeanne first came to my studio, I immediately had the feeling that I'd known her forever. She is this pretty girl, full of spirit and joy, a person you could meet in Saint-Germain des Près, in Café Flore, on Rue de Bucy... she's very Vivier!"
We definitely see eye-to-eye on the matter, and kudos to the brand for yet another home run when it comes to picking faces to front their campaigns.
