French-Italian brand Moncler lifted the curtains of its first American flagship store as a tribute to the city that never sleeps — New York City. Situated on Madison Avenue, the boutique was designed by French architects Gilles & Boissier and is covered in marble tiles. As a special feature, designer Thom Browne used the brand's iconic duvet jacket to create an art installation for the 600 square metre boutique.
Consisting of 28 Moncler jackets — each unique and numbered — the installation is a mosaic of the American flag. The jackets from the installation will be available for purchase exclusively on Moncler's online shop, with proceeds from the collection benefiting Robin Hood — New York's largest poverty-fighting organisation. Apart from the limited edition duvet jackets, the flagship boutique also retails jackets, cashmere pullovers, gloves, and scarves featuring elements of the American flag.
