Maisonzhou: The made-in-Singapore sleepwear label elevating boudoir dressing
Slink into silk
They say there's no place like home, and it's utterly true — where else can you indulge in a daily moment of quiet the way you want it to be? And yet, just because you might have actually skipped a day out for a lingered day in, that doesn't mean your at-home look should say you've skipped a few maintenance routine. Tailored for life's luxe comforts, this is where Maisonzhou steps in.
Stitched together to celebrate the bon vivant nightwear splendidly worn in the '20s and '30s, boutique label Maisonzhou goes by the notion where women should feel — and look — as sublime at night as they do by day. This goes to practicality with the label's tactile plush of stretch-silk in their debut fall/winter 2016 collection. Reinterpreting the traditional French bridal trousseau, the designs embroider a trace of lace chinoiserie and cheongsam detailing as a nod to its Asian roots. Unabashedly languorous, the edit features lingerie, nightgowns, pyjamas, sleep shirts and robes in a subdued colour palette.
Channel the glamour of the golden days by swathing yourself in the lustre of the wrap nightgown, or the silken drape of the blush kimono robe that's impeccably perfect for a lush lounge in the house. Or if you're quite the au courant style setter, one-up your party frock and glide into a fete with the midnight blue pyjama set à la this season's bedroom dressing trend. Curling up post-party has never been easier.
Maisonzhou is available at Keepers (National Design Centre), The Beauty Candy Apothecary (Mandarin Gallery), W Store (W Singapore), Trinity Gallery (Raffles Hotel Arcade) and online.
