Yes, the king of pop fashion is finally getting his own documentary. Jeremy Scott, the creative director of Italian fashion label Moschino, is starring in a film produced by The Vladar Company, who also made the hit film, Valentino: The Last Emperor.
No stranger to making a statement, his past collections have included a Barbie-inspired extravanganza (SS15), and his now-iconic first collection riffing on MacDonald's. The documentary will explore Scott's rise from Kansas City kid to big-time, international designer and includes interviews with his coterie of pop culture princesses — Katy Perry, Rita Ora, and Miley Cyrus among others. It will also focus on the making of his first collection for Moschino, which the filmmakers were given unprecedented access to document, and Scott's own creative process.
The documentary will be released on 18 September 2015, just in time for fashion week, and the film will surely be as hotly anticipated as the runway shows.
