A tribute to the iconic Breton stripe, Net-a-Porter has launched a 25-piece capsule with all-American favourite J.Crew
Revolutionised by some of the biggest names in history (Coco Chanel, Pablo Picasso, Bridget Bardot, Andy Warhol — just to name a few), the Breton stripe is an indisputable classic. Now reimagined in an exclusive collaboration between J.Crew and Net-a-Porter, the timeless print is now the star of a 25-piece capsule on Net-a-Porter.
“When Net-a-Porter suggested a stripe collaboration, it felt like they had handed us a golden goose. The Breton stripe has long been a tradition for European culture, as well as American fashion. We had more ideas than room on the floor. The edit, which is Net-a-Porter’s strong point, is the result of an extremely fun collaboration,” said Jenna Lyons, president and creative director of J.Crew. “My favourite pieces are the craziest — the bias striped fur coat, and the most simple — a striped boat neck t-shirt with a tulle hem. Tradition and surprise — the magic is in the mix.”
The collection features crew neck tops, blouses, dresses, skirts, jackets, coats, and a shearling stole. The collaboration comes as no surprise — J.Crew’s Breton striped top has been an abiding bestseller for Net-a-Porter, and this capsule is a sure to infatuate anyone with a love for the classics.
