Timed to launch in tandem with the Fashion Forward — Three Centuries of Fashion exhibition that explores the craft's creative and storied history, H&M has befittingly turned to the allure of old-school artworks to inspire its upcoming Conscious Exclusive collection.
In this first sneak peek release, quaint blooms and intricate patterns are splashed across a sheer floor-length dress and collarless coat — a hint as to what to expect come the actual date.
"We brought the idea of sustainability to new levels with this collection. Working with new materials such as beads and rhinestones of recycled glass and Denimite, we have created contemporary styles imbued with a sophisticated charm," creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson explained.
Art director and fashion sustainability advocate Julia Restoin Roitfeld has also been revealed as the brand's pick to front the collection's campaign.
The Conscious Exclusive collection will be available at H&M stores worldwide and online from 7 April 2016.
