Diesel's new Denim Lab puts a futuristic spin on the utility fabric
Time to reconsider the classics

Let's put it this way: You haven't really experienced denim until you've seen what designer Faustine Steinmetz can do with the fabric. Having earned her stripes with shredded denim jackets and paper-thin translucent jeans over at her own eponymous label, a brief glimpse of the Paris-born creative's work is reason enough to reconsider how denim should take form.

Ever dedicated to pushing the envelope, Diesel unveils an edgier directive with Denim Lab fall/winter 2017. The launch an of an all-new line ropes in a guest designer. With Steinmetz, a new perspective to the everyday fabric. Behold, a futuristic collection feauturing a jaw-dropping "vanishing effect" achieved with irregular, sheer panelling. Applied to t-shirts, jeans, dresses, skirts, shorts and jumpsuits alike, this is one instance when forgoing your classic, blue jeans is not an exception, but the rule.
