Hollywood's A-list turned out in full force to celebrate Giorgio Armani's 40th anniversary and the opening of his new museum
To commemorate his 40th anniversary, celebrated designer Giorgio Armani decided to give back to the city where he first started out with a special gift. The Armani/Silos project was launched to great fanfare with fashion's brightest lights, such as Miroslava Duma and Anna dello Russo, and a coterie of the world's most famous stars, including Cate Blanchett, Glenn Close, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Sophia Loren, the designer's long-time friend, also turned up and sat front row at the retrospective fashion show: Showcasing a selection of gowns from past Armani Privé collections. The shimmering gowns were a testament to the meticulous handwork and sophisticated concepts dreamed up and executed by the Italian powerhouse.
Other notable guests included Glenn Close, Tina Turner, Pierce Brosnan, Aishwarya Rai, Hillary Swank and Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi.
