Breaking news: Clare Waight Keller joins Givenchy
First female chief

And there we have it.
Following news of Natacha Ramsay-Levi's move from Louis Vuitton to Chloé, the fashion industry confirmed another floating rumour. French luxury label Givenchy has announced that Clare Waight Keller will be its new Creative Director. The former artistic head of Chloé — and soon, the first woman to lead Givenchy — is taking over the maison from Riccardo Tisci. The news of Tisci's departure came last month after the showcase of his Givenchy swan song, the fall/winter 2017 collection during Paris Fashion Week.
"She has this great ability to break the rules and innovate without making a revolution," Givenchy CEO Philippe Fortunato told WWD. "Her very focused approach will help the brand in building the ongoing momentum we have – and taking it to the next level."
Keller's debut is set for October.
