With the launch of the Boss Bespoke bag, the brand is pushing fashion boundaries to establish a luxurious range of tailored accessories for the fairer sex. While bespoke was once upon a time a gentlemen's only club, Hugo Boss now extends the exclusive invite to women.
The Bespoke bag is the embodiment of the brand's fine custom-made tailoring and goes beyond being a mere carrier. Crafted entirely in Italy with stellar workmanship, much like their menswear, the seams are as much structural as they are decorative. And, like a custom suit, the bag conceals hidden pockets within. With a cufflink as the central fastening lock, yet another aspect borrowed from the boys, the Bespoke bag is a fine blend of feminine and masculine elements that fall in line with artistic director Jason Wu's concept for Boss womenswear.
To honour its launch, Hugo Boss is hosting an exhibition of the Bespoke bag and the FW15 womenswear collection. Furthermore, the exhibition is going that extra mile with a charity drive that requires no monetary donation. All you have to do is capture a unique photo of the Bespoke bag and a Boss Heart Emblem, and for every image tagged #BossBespokeBag, Hugo Boss will contribute $5 to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. Bravo.
The Hugo Boss exhibition is held from 1 - 11 October at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Ngee Ann City atrium.
